About 

I am married to Andy and we have four amazing children; our oldest daughter has a career and lives in Newport News, our son is graduating and will play football at UVA Wise and the younger girls are  in middle and high school. We moved to St. Paul, Va after my husband retired from the Navy in 2020. We enjoy the quiet pace of life in Wise County, but we also love visiting our “city friends” on the East coast. 

 

I am an English teacher at SPE and love to work with the middle school students. Additionally, we lead the youth group at our church, which is such a rewarding experience. 

 

I have been taking portraits part time for several years. It’s a blessing to be asked to capture  the simple moments, big milestones, or precious celebrations in peoples lives. 

 

Photography has been a passion of mine since I was in college, when a dark room was used to develop film! I have always been an artist, so my love of capturing life around me has extended to a variety of media. Taking photographs of people’s story has become one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. A picture is worth a thousand words, so let’s write a book together!
